TeamCommented on path target data missing from IIIF manifest exportYikes - no, not known. Thanks for flagging - should be fixed now!Commented on Hello, how do you add more than one map to the same room - in other words, how do I create a collection of maps that users can annotate that are part of the same room? The problem I have at present is that everytime I upload a IIIF Manifest, I end up creating a separate room.Hi, that’s right – in liiive, each room corresponds to a single IIIF manifest. In other words: liiive isn’t meant to be a manifest editor, nor an image management platform where you can merge, modify or compile your own image collections, if that’s what you mean. If you are looki…Commented on "Unable to open [object Object]:..." errorI know. Some collections are more affected than others. LoC is one of the worst (or “hardest hit” I guess). If you want to be independent of the current bot-weather situation, you could always self-host a handful of samples. (I think LoC provides full-image downloads, too. So you…Commented on "Unable to open [object Object]:..." errorHi @Katie McDonough, I was able to load all those maps fine just now. However I know there’s the intermittent issue with the LoC (and some other providers) that they have additional bot prevention measures in place, and that their IIIF servers also get overloaded frequently (and…Commented on Trouble creating an account via GitHub / other options for auth?Sorry for the delay - can you try again?Commented on Trouble creating an account via GitHub / other options for auth?Sorry for that… I’ll investigate. For now, all I can say is that this looks exactly like the URL you’re supposed to hit, and which I’ve verified with a test account just now. Is there anything at all that might be special about your setup? (Are there any institiutional firewalls…Commented on Trouble creating an account via GitHub / other options for auth?Hm, that’s really weird. Can you confirm that they were able to log in to their Github accounts without problems? When they hit the 404, is that on a liiive URL, or one on github.com?Commented on Trouble creating an account via GitHub / other options for auth? Thanks! I just checked and Github login seems to work ok. Did you verify that you logged in to your Github account correctly? I might add other login options in the future, but TBH no specific timeline yet.Commented on Error loading mages from The Courtauld GalleryOk, no worries. I’ll keep you posted once I hear back from the Courtauld.Commented on Issues with manifests that are annotated with Liiive more than onceJust a quick update on this issue: the problem is now fixed both for: downloaded manifests live manifests on permanent roomsCommented on Error loading mages from The Courtauld GalleryYikes. Thanks for reporting. I looked into it, and unfortunately it looks like the problem isn’t with liiive, but with the Courtauld. The manifest(s) they are publishing are not actually pointing to a zoomable representation, but to a single, static JPEG. So far, so good. But the…Commented on Issues with manifests that are annotated with Liiive more than onceOk, just another quick update: This works now for downloaded manifests. (Shout out if it doesn’t for you!) This does not yet work for the live manifests published online for permanent rooms. Will get to that by the end of next week!Commented on Issues with manifests that are annotated with Liiive more than onceAh – sorry for this. I can see what’s going on. liiive is inserting a new AnnotationPage inside the existing AnnotationPage instead of properly creating a new annotation page for each export cycle. Update: I added a small fix for this–should be working now!Commented on Issue: edits don't get storedHi @Bob Coret, so the bad news first: sorry about those comments at the wrong targets. Those are not recoverable per se, so you’d need to re-do them. Same for annotations that have multiple comments, apologies. But now for the good news: I finally figured out what’s going on. It…Commented on Issue: edits don't get storedIs the manifest above one that was created in liiive, and then re-imported? That a case I haven’t fully worked through yet, TBH.Commented on Issue: edits don't get storedI made a few changes concerning the save/update issue. I can no longer reproduce it on my end now, so fingers crossed ;-)Commented on Issue: edits don't get storedAh wait - I saw it happening just now. Not sure why, but I’ll investigate.Commented on Issue: edits don't get storedOk, that’s definitely odd. I know I had this problem previously, but it should be fixed since several weeks. I’ll re-check. But could you try clearing your browser cache and reloading the page, just to be sure?Commented on Issue: edits don't get storedOk, thanks. I’ll test on different platforms. I just tested on Mac, with Chrome/Firefox/Safari, and all seemed fine. But will also re-test on Windows and Linux again. (I tested with a Presentation Manifest v2. I doubt the type of image would make a difference, but you never know……Commented on Issue: edits don't get storedAlso: can I ask which browser you were using?Commented on Feature request: annotation listThanks for the feedback–yes, I agree, a list view is definitely needed. I’ll see that I’ll prioritize it on my todo list!Commented on Not being able to revise/delete annotationsThanks for your kind feedback! Oops - the Delete button was meant to work for everyone… (Regardless of whether there are comments or not.) I just fixed that now.Commented on Not being able to revise/delete annotationsHi, at the moment, annotations shapes should be editable (and delete-able) by anyone. (That's a change from Friday. Before that, only the original creator was able to edit/delete the shape.) The comments & replies remain editable only for the creator. But, yes, I am also planning…Commented on Could not fetch the manifestThe web forgets nothing ;-) I was just about to answer! But no worries - it’s a common mistake. I’m actually trying to figure out how I can automatically identify whether the URL points to an HTML page rather than a manifest, and provide a better error message. (But in your case…Commented on Invalid ManifestYikes, sorry for this (and thanks for reporting!). A bug on my end. That’s fixed now!Commented on Share via LiiiveHi, thanks for the positive feedback–I appreciate it! About your request: in fact that’s already possible :-) I just haven’t had the time yet to properly document it. It’s almost exactly like in your example. Only difference is that the parameter is named differently: https://lii…Commented on Invalid exported manifest (v2+v3)Hi Alice, thanks for the additional troubleshooting - and sorry for the hassle! It looks like there are several smaller issues, working together unfavorably… I’m on it. Some seem to stem from liiive’s built in v2-to-v3 manifest conversion. I’m using an official utility from IIIF…Commented on Invalid exported manifest (v2+v3)A quick update to the second issue: there was a bug on my end which produced broken targets for ellipse annotations. That’s now fixed! If you re-export the manifest from liiive, and put it on Github, it should now work in other viewers.Commented on Invalid exported manifest (v2+v3)The second issue, I’m not sure about. But I think what you have done is to split the manifest into a v2 Presentation manifest and a v3 annotation list, which might not work in combination. But I can’t reproduce your “invalid target” error directly. Which viewer did you see that i…Commented on Invalid exported manifest (v2+v3)Hi Alice, I looked into the problem. There are two separate issues: first, the “failed to fetch” one. That, actually, is not a problem with the manifests. It’s a problem with how you are serving them. There’s a built-in security mechanism in every browser that blocks applications…
