Error loading mages from The Courtauld Gallery
The supplied link seems to pass the validator as it gets a tick and retrieve the title of the work, but I then get an error saying ‘Unable to open [object Object]: Error loading image. Yikes. Thanks for reporting.
I looked into it, and unfortunately it looks like the problem isn’t with liiive, but with the Courtauld. The manifest(s) they are publishing are not actually pointing to a zoomable representation, but to a single, static JPEG. So far, so good. But then when you try to access that image, an error pages is returned.
In other words: the manifest as such is indeed valid. But the image it points to cannot be loaded.
E.g. for the object you are linking to, the manifest links to the following image URL:
https://gallerycollections.courtauld.ac.uk/iiif/3/132748/full/max/0/default.jpg
The error returned (“Bad Gateway”) may have various different causes, including temporary outages of particular server components within the Courtauld.

Thank you, I had tried looking through the manifest but I don’t understand it well enough to work out what the problem was. I was just hoping to use these to set up an art history teaching seminar so not directly connected.
